Piercing the darkness of the night
Saw I ribbons of varying orange light
Dance under banks of cotton wool
Clouds resembling angel faces.

Immediately and suddenly
Brighter yellow-white radiant beams
Back-light my angel faces
Ribbons evaporated now

Encompassing light supercedes
all darkness which then melts away
Along with its dew and wisp clouds
Mem’ries of angels imprinted.

“The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
Gospel of John, Chapter 1, verse 5
